Chicken bread
Here are a few simple and easy chicken bread variations — great for snacks, lunchboxes, or tea-time. All recipes use basic ingredients and a creamy chicken filling with mayonnaise.
π₯ 1. Mini Chicken Bread Rolls (Soft Buns Style)
Ingredients:
All-purpose flour – 2 cups
Instant yeast – 1½ tsp
Sugar – 1 tbsp
Salt – ½ tsp
Milk – ½ cup (warm)
Water – ¼ cup (warm, as needed)
Butter – 2 tbsp
Egg – 1 (for dough)
Egg yolk – 1 (for brushing)
Filling:
Boiled shredded chicken – 1 cup
Mayonnaise – ½ cup
Salt & pepper – to taste
Mozzarella (optional) – ¼ cup
Method:
1. Prepare the dough, let it rise for 1 hour.
2. Divide into small balls, roll out slightly.
3. Add 1 tbsp filling, seal and shape into rolls.
4. Brush with egg yolk, bake at 180°C for 15–20 mins.
π 2. Chicken Mayo Crescent Bread
Shortcut:
Use store-bought crescent dough or puff pastry.
Filling:
Chicken (shredded) – 1 cup
Mayonnaise – ½ cup
Crushed red chili – ½ tsp
Oregano – ½ tsp
Onion – 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
Method:
1. Cut dough into triangles.
2. Place filling on the wide side, roll toward the tip.
3. Bake at 180°C until golden (15–18 mins).
π 3. Flat Chicken Mayo Bread (No Yeast)
Dough (No Yeast):
Flour – 1½ cups
Baking powder – 1 tsp
Salt – ½ tsp
Oil – 2 tbsp
Yogurt – ½ cup
Filling:
Same as above (chicken + mayo)
Method:
1. Mix dough ingredients, knead and roll out into a round or oval.
2. Spread filling in the center, fold over.
3. Brush with egg or milk. Bake at 180°C for 15–18 mins.
π§Ί 4. Bread Slices Chicken Pockets (No Baking)
Ingredients:
White bread slices – 6–8
Chicken mayo filling – 1 cup
Egg – 1 (beaten)
Bread crumbs – ½ cup
Oil – for frying
Method:
1. Roll bread slices flat, trim edges.
2. Add filling, fold and seal with water.
3. Dip in egg, coat with crumbs
4. Shallow fry or air fry until golden.
